Art Made of Garbage
In 2010, SCAC hosted the Art Made of Garbage Competition and Exhibition. It consisted of three commissioned sculptures made of garbage by local artists, a public call for art made of garbage to a competition, a weekend-long opening and judging of the competition and a six-week exhibition of the commissioned works and submitted works called "The Garbage Collection". While this was a one time event, it was so successful that SCAC plans to hold it or a variation of it in the future.
